PCCR (Plan for College and Career Readiness)

PCCR stands for Plan for College and Career Readiness. During 7th and 8th grade, students will meet with a counselor to discuss their plan as they review classes and set goals.

  • In 7th grade, counselors meet with students during their CCA Business class and discuss middle school, high school, and post-high goals and strategies for success.  During the meeting, students fill out a Plan for College and Career Readiness form, ask questions regarding colleges and/or careers, and navigate through school courses. Students are required to discuss and review their Plan for College and Career Readiness with their parents/guardians allowing all parties to be involved and aware of what to expect in the future.  The plan is signed by both the student and their parent/guardian and returned to the counselor.

  • In 8th grade students meet with a counselor to discuss their plans for high school.  Parents are encouraged to attend the meeting, as students will be selecting their courses for 9th grade. Parents will receive notice of the meetings each year.
