- Highlights:
- Get Logan High to come- Basketball team and coach came to meet with the 8th graders. We have great connections.
- School Mission:
- It is the mission of the Mount Logan Middle school to ensure all students leave our school ready to create a positive future for themselves and their community.
- Budget Update- $219,692.33 Available $222,001 Planned, Carry Over $10,000
- Amendment: Finding from a grant for the social worker so we have $26,000 dollars and amend the money to go to PLC time for teachers. Pays for sub coverage.

- Digital Citizenship Review
- Why we review digital citizenship
- State Legislation (H.B. 213) requires annual discussion
- Ensure safe, healthy, responsible technology use
- Provides transparency about filtering, data privacy, and instructional practices.
- Means- appropriate, responsible, and health behavior related to technology use.
- Digital literacy
- Only safety
- Privacy and security
- Respectful communication
- Ethical online behavior
- SOPHOS, GoGaurdian (teachers can use for students in class), Age appropriate filtering, iBoss (internet filter), JAMF/ZenWorks (district)
- Filtering is blocking harmful inappropriate content, applying restrictions, managing apps, guarantee is not 100% protection, and does not replace supervision or conversation at home.

- 6th grade- Study Skills- Ms. Turley
- 7th grade- CCA Ms. Killpack- Required
- 8th Grade- Digital Literacy- Ms. Kendall- Required

- When flag it will send an email to admin and tech safety which will then go to the resource officer
- Only about 6% are frequent offenders
- Most problems are on the cell phones that we don't control
- Other category is self harm/suicidal
- 76 notification- represents 6.62% at MLMS
- Comes through GoGuardian Beacon Alert

- Perform a Risk Assessment- done by councilors
- Report on Results of Assessment to Parents
- Spencer Holmgren will look into how many total students we do have here at MLMS.
- Why we review digital citizenship
- Public Input
- Could we get Logan high clubs to come in and get MLMS students interested.
- Are parents pretty good when the school calls regarding self harm- and do they have the resources?
- Yes, Kate helps with it when it comes to getting the resources and where to go.
- Cell phones- How are they doing this year?
- The system is the same. 3 strikes your out. The phone goes to the offices on the 3rd and parents are contracted. We have the backing now from the state which helps when parents are upset.
- How you find out about cell phone use and the self harm issues/ bullying/ harassment/ ect.
- Students will report it. We will direct it to Officer Olson when needed.
